A Rare Pair Of Italian (Probably Milanese) Mitten Gauntlets
Circa 1430
Each comprising a short flaring cuff with turned rear edge, extending over the lower part of the metacarpus and shaped to the base of the thumb (thumb-plates missing from both), and three articulated plates (replaced on the left gauntlet) covering the top of the metacarpus and the fingers
