AN ANGLO-INDIAN SPECIMEN-WOOD CENTRE TABLE
Early 19th Century
The circular top inlaid with an interlaced floral marquetry design of specimen woods including palm, cork, zebra wood, and other exotic timbers, within an ebony ring inlaid with ivory roundels, enclosed by a band of scrolling foliage, and with an ebony rim above a reeded edge on a hardwood turned baluster shaft, on a square shaped moulded base with ebonised reeded frieze, on ebonised gadrooned ball feet, with countersunk brass castors
30½ in. (77.5 cm.) high; 45¼ in. (115 cm.) diam.
