A finely engineered 2in. scale model of the Foster twin cylinder compound, two speed, four shaft Showman's Road Locomotive 'Nell'
built by E.A. Two, 1971, with brazed copper boiler with fittings including two water gauges, pressure gauge, safety, blower, whistle, waterlift, simpling and injector valves, clack valves with 'shut off' cocks and blowdown cock. Engine details include cylinders approximately 1in. and 1½in. bores x 1¾in. stroke, footplate controlled draincocks and fine pipework, studded stuffing boxes, trunk type crosshead guides with oil boxes, inclined valves, Stephenson's link reverse, mechanical lubricator, Pickering type belt driven governor, counterbalanced crankshaft, gear and eccentric driven feed pump and disc flywheel. Chassis details include rubber tyred spoked wheels with brass hubcaps, worm and roller chain steering, sprung front axle, spud pan, belly tank and water lift with suction pipe and hose, footplate controlled damper, belt driven dynamo, winch drum and fairleads, driver's seat, injector, whistle, hand operated brake gear with wooden brake blocks, tool box, full length canvas covered mahogany canopy mounted on brass 'barley twist' supports, extension chimney, headlamps and many other details, finished in blue, off white and mainly unpainted (some surface rust) --17¼ x 30in.
