The arched case ring and cornucopia handles to the sides above arched silk backed brass fish scale sound frets, with ebonised ripple mouldings around the base and brass fleur-de-lys inlays to the front, the white painted Roman convex dial (retouched) signed DAN.l DESBOIS Grays Inn Passage, with strike/silent lever above XII, black painted moon hands, the twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, pull trip repeat, repeat signature to the backplate, with pendulum holdfast suspended from the movement seatboard -- 16¼in. (41cm.) high
