A William IV mahogany longcase clock, circa 1830
The case with hood with swan neck pediment centred by a brass ball and spire finial, outset ringed and turned columns to the front, short lancet-arched trunk door with double-moulded frame (some mouldings loose), flanked by three-quarter length cluster pilasters, on plain plinth with wavy apron, the 13½in. wide square white dial with painted spandrels, white centre with Roman chapters, rolling moon aperture and date ring, signed Jno. Sagar Blackburn (retouched), with brass hands, with false plate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 86in. (219cm.) high
