A DUTCH WALNUT AND MARQUETRY CHEST, LATE 18TH CENTURY EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Of small size, the overhanging top of undulating outline with moulded edge and rounded corners centred by a bowl of flowers with birds flanked by scrolls within a tulip wood crossbanded border and trailing flowers with butterflys to the corners containing four long drawers in the bombe front trailing flowers and foliage between projecting shaped angles, the sides with oval strung panels with bowls of flowers, the apron with scroll mouldings on later bun feet and back legs
