Shaped oval, on four rocaille and scroll feet, the massive openwork sides and handles formed of intertwining scrolls and grapevine, with fully-modelled putto holding aloft a wreath and centering a shield, engraved on one side with monogram and on the other with a coat-of-arms, crest and motto, with gilt-metal fitted liner, marked on side and each putto wing, also stamped under base HUNT & ROSKELL LATE STORR & MORTIMER
