(9 x 17 in.), ON PARCHMENT, in Latin, first line with decorative majuscules, elaborately decorated initial "I," in a fine giltwood frame. SEAL: Seal of the Auditor General, in red wax inset in plain wax (a pointed oval [vesica] form, 89 x 57 mm. (2¾ x 1 7/8 in.), obverse showing SS Peter and Paul with the Virgin and Child and saints in architectural frame above crossed-key armorial devices, legend "S. AUDITORIS GENERALIS CAMERE APOSTOLICE") in original protective metal case pendant on cords, an excellent impression, slightly rubbed. Sixtus IV orders the publication of a letter of Sixtus appointing confessors to the Franciscans (Sixtus's own order) and the Poor Clares in honour of the Jubilee. A fine example, with an interesting Papal seal. -- [PAUL V (1552-1611), Pope]. Manuscript document, permitting a marriage, Rome, 7 September 1611. 1 sheet, 219 x 369 mm. (8 5/8 x 14 5/8 in.), ON PARCHMENT, in Latin, first line with decorative majuscule capitals and flourished ascenders, minor soiling, tears to folds, not affecting text. SEAL: Papal seal (bulla) in lead (diameter 36 mm. (1½ in)., obverse lettered 'PAULUS PAPA V', reverse with cross and heads of SS Peter and Paul), pendant on cords. Paul V grants permission for the marriage of Franciscus de Guscine and Nicola de Ponilli, in the diocese of Rheims, in spite of the obstacles of their relationship in the third degree of consanguinuity. --- [PIUS XII (1876-1958), Pope]. Envelope addressed to Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina, President of the Dominican Republic, n.p., n.d., 196 x 265 mm. (8 x 10¾ in), ARMORIAL SEAL OF THE PAPACY in red wax (diameter 36 x 23 mm.
