With rounded ends and sliding tray, the top panted with a vertical composition of a standing youth with a hawk on his wrist, in a stylised landscape with buildings in the background, the buff sides with elegantly spaced floral sprays, the black underside and tray left plain, slight restoration, signature added together with erroneous date of 935

While the "signature" on the top is probably a later addition, it is a very probable attribution. The part-Indian, part-Persian feel of the present example, together with the vertical format which was popular in the late Safavid period, confirm the probability.
