A CLEAR GLASS BOTTLE
North Persia, possibly Gurgan, circa 10th Century
With spherical body on short foot rising to a tall tapering tubular neck, the body moulded with a lozenge lattice, applied clear, green and blue glass bands of trails around the neck in three tiers, larger glass trails spanning the juncture of the body and neck, the thistle mouth a restoration from a contemporaneous vessel, body intact, one trail broken, overall surface iridescence with very slight pitting
