AN EGYPTIAN GREENISH-GREY STEATITE CIPPUS OF HORUS
CIRCA 4TH-1ST CENTURY B.C.
With a relief figure of Harpocrates, standing on twin confronting crocodiles holding snakes in each hand over an antelope (left) and a lion (right), with wadj-column surmounted by a Horus falcon (left) and Nefertum plumes (right) to each side and a Bes head above, all the surfaces inscribed with tutelary texts for the owner, the upper register on the reverse Isis in the Papyrus Marsh, flanked by two uraei and deities; and a bronze situla, circa 4th-2nd Century B.C.
