A LATE URUK/JEMDET NASR PINK STONE CYLINDER SEAL
CIRCA 3100-2900 B.C.
With double register of wedges and dots; another, black stone, with double register of spouted pots, circa 3100-2900 B.C.; an Early Dynastic pink stone cylinder seal with linear infilled fan-shaped motif; another, lapis lazuli, with double register of crosses, early 3rd millennium B.C.; another two, lapis, each with heroes in contest with rampant animals; another, lapis, with double register of heroes protecting animals being attacked by lions; an Akkadian lapis seal, with three pairs of fighting gods, all circa 2600-2200 B.C.; an Isin/Larsa lapis cylinder seal, with a goddess leading a worshipper before a deified king, crescent above, a two line cuneiform inscription "Zamanuum, son of Gisru-paani"; another, lapis, a goddess and worshipper before the seated sun-god, Shamash, holding his saw-toothed knife, a two line inscription "Shamash, Aya", both circa 2000-1900 B.C.; an Old Babylonian lapis cylinder seal, a deified seated king holding up a cup, an attendant standing behind, being approached by a worshipper and a suppliant goddess, three globes in the field and a crescent-topped standard, circa 1850-1700 B.C.; a Neo-Assyrian lapis cylinder seal, with the armed goddess Ishtar, surrounded by a nimbus, being approached by a worshipper, a kneeling winged genie behind surmounted by a winged solar disc and a crescent, wedge of Nabu, spade of Marduk and rhomb in the field, repaired, circa 8th Century B.C.; and another, black stone, with an ibex, plant motif and cross, possibly circa 3100-2900 B.C.
