A musical carousel automaton,
the carousel with painted metal horses and riders and chairboats with all-bisque dolls, plain cloth canopy with cut paper and bead decoration, central pair of automated dancing dolls, drive mechanism for an organ grinder, in glazed hexagonal case with ebonised columns on walnut base with transfer decorations and two scrolling fretwork panels, containing a Forte Piccolo musical movement playing six airs, with tune sheet on one glass pane and coin mechanism -- 25½in. (65cm.) high, the cylinder 7¼in. (18.3cm.), circa 1890, probably by Bornand Frères, numbered on the tune-sheet and winding key 5124
