addressed S.S. Titanic Queenstown Thursday written pencil over a single folded sheet and describing the incident with the S.S. New York, the steadyness of Titanic and other news; together with another, similar, addressed Titanic Belfast Friday written by Siebert in the Public Library in Belfast with news of a train trip to and his impressions of Belfast; one envelope addressed to Mrs S.G. Siebert, 8 Harrold Rd, Treemantle, Southampton each -- 7 x 9in. (18 x 23cm.)

Lot Essay

S.G. Siebert is mentioned in Col Archibald Gracie's book Titanic, page 181, as being pulled alive from the water by boat No.4, but dying before reaching saftey.
