A 19th Century bone model of a 74-gun ship of the line
with bound masts, yards with foot ropes, stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, carved bust-length figurehead, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, belaying rails, capstan, well deck, gratings, companionways, double helm, deck guns on fixed bone carriages and other details. The planked and pinned hull with carved and glazed stern and quarter galleries and rudder is mounted on two turned metal columns and wooden base (restoration, missing/replaced parts). Measurements overall -- 26 x 26in. (66 x 66cm.)
