A builder's model of the fleet auxiliary Sir Galahad, built by Swan Hunter Ltd
with signal masts, anchors, winches, deck rails, forward anit-aircraft guns, companionways, three cranes with tackle, ventilators, life rings, M.E.S. raft drums, dingy, inflatable, superstructure with bridge with wing bridges, rangefinder, binnacle over, two anti-aircraft quick firing cannon and further armament, four covered lifeboats in davits, water cannons and other details. The hull, with lower deck promenades with deck rails, two stern anchors, two magnesium rafts lashed amidships, rudder, bilge keels and two four-blade brass propellers, is finished in grey and red below the waterline and is mounted on four turned chrome plated columns within wood bound glazed display case. Overall measurememnts -- 24 x 63½ x 15¾in. (61 x 161.4 x 40cm.)
