Paris, 1744/1745, with the charge and discharge marks of Antoine Leschaudel, maker's mark indistinct
Cartouche-shaped box with wavy outlines and slightly receding base, the cover and base chased and engraved with intertwined diagonal parallel branches of scrolling foliage with flowers on a matted ground, the sides with canted corners similarly engraved with scrolls and shellwork, reeded rims with incorporated slightly raised wavy thumbpiece
