Circular box, the independent slightly tapering cover and base engine-turned with a reeded sunrise motif radiating from the border of the circular panel, the sides engraved with horizontally reeded engine-turning, all within flutes borders, the frosted gold rims stamped with trailing foliage, polished gold rims, the lower part of the base unscrewing to reveal a secret compartment fitted to conceal a miniature
