Vase shaped, the front with an oval enamelled plaque depicting Androcles as a child removing a thorn from a lion's paw, with pearl-set border, the body enamelled in blue, with chased and bright-cut gold laurel garlands highlighted with white enamel, with two scroll handles, hinged cover and pearl finial, suspended from a loop by three curb chains, with scrolling wirework grille, hinged base panel
