The ornate tapering hookah base with applied openwork boteh scroll and foliate panels, set with table and rose-cut diamonds and rubies within foiled surrounds, the flared upper border alternately set with oval-shaped rubies and emeralds engraved with the initials KCR underneath, mid-late 19th century, 22.0cm high, (few stones deficient)
