A 6-inch (15.2cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithogrpahed gores, the equatorial and meridian of Greenwich graduated in degrees, the ecliptic not shown, the oceans with ocean currents and steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distances in nautical miles, the continents with nation states shaded in delicate shades of green and yellow and showing towns cities, rivers, mountains, railways and some heights in feet (some rubbing and discolouration) with unengraved brass meridian half-circle, raised on an elegant carved mahogany stand, the globe on a square stepped plinth support with carved decoration, atop a long fluted column to the square stepped plinth base --24½in. (62.2cm.) high
