An 8-inch (20.3cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithogrpahed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees of amplitude and azimuth, the meridian of Ferro and the meridian of Greenwich graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac, the oceans showing ocean currents, submarine cable lines and steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distances in nautical miles, the continents with some nation states outlined in red, orange, yellow and blue and showing rivers, mountains, towns and cities (some small blemishes) raised on a short wire arm to an ebonised baluster-turned column and circular plinth base -- 15in. (38.1cm.) high
