A modern facsimile 14-inch (35.5cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe, made up of twelve hand-coloured, copied and enlarged facsimile gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees and hours, the meridian of Ferro graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with sigils, the oceans with an analemma and the tracks of various explorers including those of Vancouver, Biscoe, Gore and Cook, the continents hand-coloured in yellow and showing numerous details including towns, cities, rivers, mountains, forts, copper mines, North American native territories and numerous other details of interest, with modern stamped brass meridian ring, the mahogany horizon with hand-coloured engraved paper ring graduated in degrees of amplitude and azimuth, days of the month and of the houses of the Zodiac with compass directions, on four baluster turned legs united by cross-stretchers -- 21½in. (53.3cm.) high
