A rare late 18th-Century 5¼-inch brass reflecting telescope,
signed on the 36¼-inch (92.1cm.) long body-tube Nairne, London, with dust-cover (repaired), primary and secondary speculum mirrors, screw-rod focusing, starfinder, two mounting screws on either side of the body-tube, detachable eye-piece tube, in original ebonised pine carrying case with maker's label to the underside of the lid, with two brass carrying handles and two hooks and eyes (lid cracked, hinges defective) -- 42¾in. (108.6cm.) long
