A late 18th-Century German ebony cube dial,
inscribed on one face with the figures of two angels holding a drape with the words Sir. Cap.:38 V.3 Die: &c MG Thilenius, on another face GESTELD AUF ELEVATION POLI 50 [..] Gr KHABE. A. G. 1785, with five gnomon sundials, the upper face with glazed inset compass (needle broken) on four bun feet -- 7½in. (19cm.) high
