Vogl., the equinoctial ring with sprung gnomon and graduated in hours III-XII, I-IX, the folding latitude graduated 10-84°, the horizontal plate with decorative engraving and compass bowl with engraved rose, Latin intials for compass directions, blued-iron needle with brass cap and glazed cover, the underside of the compass box engraved with Elevati Poli Augsburg Paris 48 Cracau Prag 50 Leipzig 51 And. Vogl, in a shaped leather-covered card case (leather on underside a relpacement) -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) wide
