The pair in dancing pose, he in a black mask, yellow hat and chequered jacket and trousers, holding his slap-stick in his right hand, she in purple and gilt hat, chequered bodice, holding a slap-stick in her left hand, both before a tree stump applied with flowerheads, raised on pierced scroll bases highlighted in turquoise and gilt, (finger missing from his right hand, her right foot restored, losses and chips to leaves and petals), she with red anchor and dagger mark
