4° (211 x 144mm). Collation: A-E8 F4, F4 blank. Roman type, title in gothic type. Title woodcut of a scholar and a woman, woodcut historiated and ornamental initials from several sets. (Light dampstain.) 20th-century vellum, flat spine lettered in gilt. Provenance: copiously annotated by an early reader.

A rare edition of Blasius Pico's Latin grammar, which was first published at Aquila in 1494. The woodcut was previously used by the same printer in another grammatical work, by Sulpitius Verulanus, in 1516. Essling II, 1979; Sander 5678; NO COPY IN AMERICA OR BRITAIN.
