Darwin writes in haste to discuss the transport of an unidentified creature. He will send a carrier to collect it but if it must be sent by railway, he asks to be informed at which station it will be arriving; 'Please put a handful of grain in Basket'. A postscript expresses the hope that the recipient will be able to answer a question.
