The large Hereford Ox horn profusely carved and incised with extensive decorative work and bearing the legend THIS/IS THE HORN/of a Majestic four years and eight months/old, HEREFORD OX bred by HIS GRACE/The/Duke of Bedford/Exhibited in LONDON at the Smithfield/Cattle Club 2nd Class Prize 10 (POUNDS)/1845, also bearing the incised and silver pique Coat-of-Arms of the Duke, numerous silver pique adorn the decorative details throughout the horn, near the spout is signed This/Horn Engraved/With a Pen knife/By/C.H. Wood., two German-silver bands, and a brass chain hanger
