AN ENGRAVED .31 COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET REVOLVER, NO. 124860 FOR 1856, MEXICAN SILVER OVERLAID HOLSTER
Profusely engraved overall with scrolls highlighted by granular grounds, two-line address ADDRESS SAML. COLT/NEW YORK CITY, silver grips cast in the "Tiffany" style (probably of Mexican origin, 20th century), five shot cylinder, brown leather holster overlaid with silver plate embossed with florals, belt part with silver plate decorated en suite

Grey patina overall, engraving probably refreshened, hammer bears spurios dots (typical of higher grade Young engraved guns), traces of cylinder scene, replacement grips, holster and belt part fine.
