Mark of Aucoc, Paris, late 19th century
Fiddle pattern, with berried laurel borders, each engraved with a cypher 'EL', all in fitted oak canteen with brass carrying handles, the interior with four velvet covered trays, the interior of the cover and the lock plate stamped 'A. AUCOC 6 RUE DE LA PAIX PARIS', comprising:
