Dated yiyou year (1945), Winter month
Executed in ink and colour on paper and mounted to be framed, depicting numerous chestnut, grey and dappled horses grazing on riverbanks amongst pine and rockwork -- 35in. x 96½in. (89cms x 245cms), Inscribed and signed by the artist: Pu Jin, and with one seal of the artist: Xue Zhai; an additional inscription to the lower left by Pu Quan, signed: Pu Songquan, and with two seals of the artist.
