depicting a mountainous landscape dotted with trees and with two thatched huts on stilts at the lake shore and some further retreats on land - 35 7/8in. x 13¾in. (91cms x 35cms), Inscribed and signed by the artist: Xu Chengyao, and with two seals of the artist: Xu Cheng Yao Yin and Ji Tang, an added colophon by the artist Huang Binhong, signed: Binhong Huang [zhi shi] and dated jiyou year (1909), a Summer day, and with one seal of the artist: Huang Zhi Si Yin
