A painted pottery model of a semi-recumbent bactrian camel
Six Dynasties
trying to stand carrying large saddle-bags, its hind legs widely braced and semi-straight, the off-fore stretched out while near-fore remains bent underneath the neck and chest which rest on a shaped base, its head raised and slightly tilted back baring clenched teeth, red and cream pigments remaining -- 14 1/8in. (36cm.) long, (minor areas broken and restuck).

Thermouluminescence Test Number C100x32 is consistant with the dating of this lot. All three samples yielded a similar result but sample C (taken from the bottom on the neck) has different TL properties.
