An export London shape breakfast cup
circa 1800
decorated with a broad band reserved with fruiting foliage in gilt on a blue ground, Reinfeld Sundwells inscribed below -- 5 1/8in. (13cm.) diam, (minor gilt rubbing).

This cup is from a service made for the crew of one of the East India Company boats and bears the name of one of its Swedish workers. Each piece from the service would have been inscribed with a workers name.
