Later 18th Century early 19th Century, on a Régence style beechwood and oak base of a later date
The rectangular top inset with various marbles and semi-precious stones, including porfido verde antico di laconia, granito verde, de foro, and rosso, lumachella, orientale, cipollino marino, pietra paesina, lapis lazuli, alabaster, giallo, bianco et nero, portor, pink and grey granite, amethyst, bardiglio and siena, within black marble borders, the Regence style base with a panelled frieze centred by a lambrequin within a roundel and flanked by pierced foliage, on panelled square tapering legs with gadrooned collars, joined by a panelled scrolling X-shaped stretcher joined by a domed fluted roundel
