The case with bombé plinth and canted angles, on hairy claw-and-ball feet, the shaped rectangular trunk door with a glazed lenticle with gilt-metal mount, the hood with pilasters with gilt-metal capitals, sound frets to the frieze, sides and caddy-top and acanthus clasp, the concave caddy-top with later figural finials, the silvered dial signed Abrm van der Naaten & Zoon/Amsterdam on the silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic chapters, pierced black painted steel hands, the matted and engraved centre with silvered seconds ring, month, day and weekday sectors and with rolling moonphase, surmounted by an automaton with sailing vessels and a painted landscape, the five pillar movement with anchor escapement and Dutch strike on two bells, restorations
