The white-enamelled Roman and Arabic dial signed Gavelle/a Paria within a drum case containing the movement with Brocot pendulum and outside countwheel strike on a bell, flanked to either side by a putto, various geometrical instruments and books, on a panelled plinth with pierced foliate scrolls, on toupie feet
