The circular white-enamelled Roman dial signed Ceillier à Chalons within a drum case with a drapery apron, the movement with silk-suspended sunburst pendulum and outside countwheel strike on a bell, surmounted by a floral vase with fruit and foliate scrolls, flanked by two floral vases, on spreading pilasters with foliate pierced mounts, on a rectangular stepped base centred by a conforming mount, on spreading feet
