The case with gilt-brass pineapple finial to a stylised dished pagoda top, with arched brass fishscale sound frets backed with red silk to the sides, the front inlaid with brass stars and conjoined scrolls, the dial within a central recessed octagonal panel, with glazed rear door, on rectangular base raised on brass ball feet, the circular white enamel Roman dial signed BROCKBANK & ATKINS LONDON, with blued steel moon hands, the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell to the rear, with repeat signature and pendulum holdfast to the arched backplate
