A French gilt-bronze striking mantel clock, circa 1870
The case with flambeau urn finial and flanked by berried laurel swags trailing to further urns, on breakfront base with central tassel-tied leafy sprig mount, raised on five toupie feet, the white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with pierced gilt-metal hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell and stamped OPPENHEIM PARIS -- 17¾in. (45.5cm.) high
