A Victorian ebonised and gilt-metal mounted quarter chiming bracket clock, late 19th Century
The case with arched top centred by a pierced foliate mount and with urn finials to the angles, handles to the sides above pierced sound frets, with fluted columns flanking the door, on a moulded base and bracket feet, the brass dial with silvered subsidiary rings to the arch for chime/silent, slow/fast, chime on eight bells/Westminster chimes, the silvered chapter ring with matted centre, with retail signature on a plaque below XII Cave Leamington, black painted steel hands, the triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells with eight hammers and hour striking on a gong, with pendulum holdfast to the backplate -- 20in. (51cm.) high
