A Regency oak longcase clock, early 19th century
The case with later fretwork cresting to a stepped top hood, flanked by later wood urn finials, with blind fret cornice panel and pilasters to the door, with cross-banded trunk door and on conforming plinth, the 12in. square engraved brass dial signed in the centre John Murch HONITON, with subsidiiary seconds ring and arch date aperture, black painted hands, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement, with trip repeat, restored cheekboards; case possibly associated to movement and dial -- 87½in. (222cm.) high
