A Berlin micromosaic plate
Circa 1820, blue sceptre mark, painter's marks of a blue line and an iron-red lozenge, impressed L and III
The centre painted in micromosaic with a butterfly on a plant within a pink surround divided by green and gilt bands, the border gilt with palmettes and entwined ivy leaves within a gilt line rim (two small areas of re-touching to the outer green band and gilding at 1 and 7 o'clock)
