An English 'Mortuary' Broadsword
Mid-17th Century
With slightly tapering double-edged blade with central fuller on each side at the forte stamped 'Andrea Ferara' and incised on each face with a running wolf mark (some pitting and surface rust, tip of blade incomplete), iron hilt (heavily pitted) comprising solid guard incised with radiating lines, slender bars (incomplete), globular pommel with button, and wire-bound grip (possibly a working replacement)
