JOHN LENNON SIGNED COPY OF 'IN HIS OWN WRITE'
1964
A hardcover copy of John Lennon's strange little book that he signed on April 23, 1964 at the famous Fayles Bookstore in London where a luncheon was held to promote 'In His Own Write.' Lennon signed his name in blue ballpoint ink on the inside cover as did Christina Fayles, owner of the bookstore, and Helen Shapiro, a British singer who had a crush on the Beatle. Another illegible signature appears as does a notation reading Fayles' Luncheon London -- 1964. Also included is a hardcover first printing of Lennon's second book, 'A Spaniard in the Works,' a paperback of 'In His Own Write," a later paperback of the two books combined titled 'The Penguin John Lennon' and a 45 record of 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.'
