A Caughley blue and white quatrefoil chestnut basket, cover and stand
the pierced cover with branch finial issuing flowersprays, the basket with branch handles terminating in flowerheads and leaves, moulded with flowerheads within honeycombe sections, the interior printed with sprays of fruit and flowers, below a scrolling foliate and diaper pattern border, the stand with similar ornament, the basket with printed S mark, circa 1785 (minor chips to petals and leaves) -- 24.5cm. wide
