Carved with five scholars and two attendants in a pine grove playing go and practising calligraphy, all between mountains and streams and distant pavilions, the reverse with a lengthy inscription in running script, signed Nam Xi Shan Ren and with a seal (age cracks on base)--6¾in. (17cm.) high
