A FINE AND VERY RARE PAIR OF MING-STYLE DOUCAI BOWLS
ENCIRCLED YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD

The thinly-potted rounded sides slightly flaring at the rim, the exterior painted and enamelled with a loose foliate scroll comprising six flower-heads with red and blue enamelled stamens between a band of blue, green, yellow and red ruyi above the foot, and a band of similarly coloured overlapping flower-heads around the rim, the interior painted and enamelled in the medallion with a spray of the same flower, one with firing flaw in foot--5 7/8in. (15cm.) diam., box (2)
